BIO

The Soul Congress was a ‘60s garage band from the Hanover Township High School in Wilkes-Barre, Pa. They existed from 1967 to 1970 playing weekly during the school year at St. Casmirs Hall in the Lynwood section. Original members were: Bill Davis, lead guitar, Tom Potsko, vocals, Rick Joseph, drums, Bob Wilson, guitar, Dave Williams, bass and John (Poepperling) Cinti, guitar. A later version featured Bill, Tom, Rick, Dave and Lenny Maday on vocals as well as Beverly Jacobosky on keyboards. No recordings are known to exist although several were made. Very few photos remain either; probably due to a devastating flood in 1972.
